If you are looking for
an active or leisurely holiday, our hotel is ideally situated for visiting the Aure and
Louron Valleys with their high mountain peaks, gushing torrents, hush green forests and
typical villages.
- The hotel offers a private swimming pool, and

court, pool table and ping-pong. The hotel grounds, 7 acres on the river-side where you can
fish trout (ask for special details should you wish for an
instructor).
The owners, who are mountain-lovers, will be only too
pleased to advise you on possible walks, lend you maps and guide-book. You can also book
with a reduction at the hotel your keep-fit session at the local Saint Lary thermal baths
or your ski-pass.
- From
Arreau, the start of the Louron
Valley, you can easily get to the Col de Peyresourde (famous for Le Tour de France)
and the Peyragudes ski resort, where the James Bond 007 film was made. In the valley, you
can try paragliding and hang-gliding or casually walk round the Genos-Loudenvielle lake.
- In the Aure
Valley, the Neouvielle Nature Reserve offers wonderful views and a multitude of walks.
You are just on the border to Spain, easily accessible via the (free) Aragnouet-Bielsa
tunnel, where completely different scenary await you : remote villages,
cabbled-stoned alleys and the medieval village of Ainsa.


THE
LOURON VALLEY
In winter, you can try skiing in the
ski resort of Peyragudes or snow-shoe walking.
In summer, the Genos-Loudenvielle lake provides wonderful scenery for kayak ,
fishing, walking or pedalo
Or why not try hang-gliding or paragliding with the local
flying school " Ecole du Vol libre " (Website) at Val Louron. For those who like walking, a multitude of paths
exist both in the valley and in the high moutains. You can discover the typical villages
and barns witness to bygone times.

THE AURE VALLEY
Saint-Lary (Website) 100% Pyrenees, the
most important village in the valley with its thermal baths, set in maginificent
surroundings where you can relax after a days skiing or walking. Many sporting
activities are offered, in complete security with local mountain guides or qualified
instructors and Christine and Claude will be more than happy to advise you.

The Neouvielle Nature Reserve and the Pyrenean National Park with
over 70 lakes, accessible by car, provide numerous marked paths treading through an
enormous variety of mountains flowers, crystal clear springs.

Piau Engaly, another modern
ski resort provides a long winter seasons, skiing, thanks its exceptional position.
The Aragnouet-Bielsa tunnel takes you through into Spain, and
the Haut Aragon region, just ½ an hours drive away from the hotel. The Bielsa
village, at the start of the Pineta Valley, at the foot of the Mont Perdu mountain
(" lost mountain ") 3rd highest pyrenean peak, where you
can buy cheap local produce and detaxed items. The medieval village of Ainsa Website is extremely pleasant with impressive views,
winding alleyways and tipically spanish bars in the main, central square.
